Standard: learned about ways humans affect our environment negatively (deforestation, pollution, smog, acid rain, etc). HW = to make a poster advocating one of the environmental issues

AP: discussed basics of migration (emigration, immigration, net migration, internal vs international, etc), watched a PBS Frontline documentary on border migration in Mexico and the corruption there.

Hon/Stan: Learned about weather patterns, how we get our weather, and when it goes bad (natural disasters) - saw video clips on tornadoes and hurricanes

Tuesday, October 5th

Hon/Stan: We finished climate by discussing the 12 climate zones, learning about orographic effect, El Nino, and other variances in climate. Standard classes received a vocab list for their nine weeks exam.
