AP: Isoglosses

AP - you may remember from our language unit that we studied isoglosses, or pockets of language variants based on differences in culture. We read the article on pop vs coke vs soda. Here's another example, this time in Germany:

AP: article on Cholera in Haiti

Here's a CNN article on the recent Cholera outbreak in Haiti - remember, cholera is a stage two epidemic, so this probably shows Haiti's backwards shift after the earthquake. Or, does it represent a stage five epidemic, showing the results of poverty?
